I got a new book from Kerry Lord’s Toft series which is patterns for mini versions of pets. There was this tiny hedgehog in it and Tegan wanted me to make her one immediately. She chose her colours and I got on with the crochet.
It was only once I’d made the body that we realised he actually looked like a naked little hegdehog but Tegan is happy with him anyway.
I can now make mini versions of lots of pets, farm animals and wild animals if you’d prefer this size (and they’re quicker!).
As this was a gift I made a donation to a cause myself. My friend Lyndsay is taking on an Ultra Marathon (her first) and sleeping on a tent for the night in the middle (another first), in aid of Prostate Cancer UK. I’m not kidding, pretty much every time I leave my house I see Lyndsay out walking or running!
